Carter Hall

Named after USI benefactor Josephine K. Carter, Carter Hall was a generous gift of Jennings D. "Nick" Carter in loving memory of his wife Josephine. Constructed in 1997 when the University Center was renovated, Carter Hall is located on the second floor of the University Center, and is primarily used for large meetings, conferences, weddings, and dances. It can be reached by stairs at either side of the building, or by elevator located next to either entrance of the University Center. The total capacity of Carter Hall (A-B-C-D) is 740. Using sound-proof portable walls, it can be divided into three separate break-out rooms, (A-B-C), holding 25-50 people per room. Each room is self contained, carpeted, and has access to the professional sound system.
