Vivid red trumpet creeper brightens the roads of Posey County and nearby Illinois.

Where it grows, it grows profusely.

Height: This vine is found climbing shrubs and trees.

Frequency: Though abundant along roadsides in southwestern Indiana, it is scarce at the preserve.

Blooms: June and July

Range: Infrequent in most of Indiana.

Also reported from Pennsylvania to Iowa and from Florida to Texas.
