Colorful plant with attractive yellow and red flowers.

The compound leaves resemble those of a sensitive plant.

Height: 1' - 4'

Frequency: Many plants found in sunny field, especially near the woods' edge.

Blooms: July and August.

Range: Common where found, but found only infrequently in southern and western counties of Indiana, absent elsewhere.

Reported also from New England to Minnesota and from Florida to Texas.
