Interesting info

The long, fuzzy basal leaves remind some people of a dog's tongue.

The small white flowers yield bristly seed pods.

Frequency: Several plants found in higher, drier woods.

Blooms: April and May.

Range: Found frequently in southern Indiana, rarely in the north.

Also reported from New Jersey to Kansas and from Florida to Louisiana.
