Interesting info

Attractive sunflower with a small flower head, perhaps 1.5" across.

Much smaller than the more conspicuous woodland sunflower.

You ought to know

Height: 2' - 3'

Frequency: Very few plants found, on the slope at the edge of the higher woods.

Blooms: August

Range: Sparse populations found across southern Indiana.

Also known from Pennsylvania to Missouri and from Florida to Mississippi.
