American Chemical Society - Student Members (ACS-SM)

Joining the award-winning American Chemical Society-Student Members (ACS-SM) organization at USI is an educational and fun way to become involved with students and faculty members in the Chemistry Department.

The ACS-SM is a professional organization for students interested in chemistry as a career.  Members of this group attend national chemistry meetings and undergraduate research conferences.  They host guest lecturers for Chemistry seminars and tour chemical industries.

The ACS-SM participates in many service activities campus-wide and community-wide.  These include maintaining Adopt-A-Spot (located in the rear of the Science Center), and helping area Boy Scouts earn Merit Badges in Chemistry.

Social activities, such as picnics, pizza parties, and softball games are also part of the ACS-SM experience.

Contact us in the Chemistry Dept SC2255 if you're interested in joining!
