Supplemental Summer Research Fellowships 2006

Due to genereous support from the USI Foundation, the Pott College of Science and Engineering is pleased to make available to its faculty four (4) supplemental Summer Research Fellowships for the Summer of 2006. These fellowships are offered in addition to the four (4) Pott Foundation Summer Research Fellowship (PFSRF) awards which were announced in August of 2005, thus bringing to eight (8) the total number of fellowships available for the Summer 2006.

The amount for each of the supplemental fellowships will be the same as for the PFSRF awards ($4,000). Likewise, the guidelines and application procedures for the supplemental awards are the same as those established for the PFSRF awards. However, unlike the PFSRF awards, any tenured or tenure-track member of the College faculty is eligible to receive one of the four supplemental awards for the Summer of 2006, except for recipients of a 2006 Lilly-sponsored Summer Research Fellowship.

The PFSRF Program is on-going, and its guidelines will remain as published for the Summer of 2006. To the best of our knowledge, the supplemental awards will be available to faculty only for the Summer 2006.
