TECH 103 Materials & Manufacturing Processes (3) 2 hour lecture, 3 hour lab. Survey of materials commonly used in industry and the primary processes and techniques utilized in fabrication. Laboratory experiences involve techniques of forming, drilling, machining, and welding metals and alloys.

TECH 121 CAD Fundamentals (3) Two hours lecture, three hours laboratory. Principles of engineering modeling and documentation in a computer environment. Specific topics to be covered include visualization, geometric modeling of objects in a computer-aided design environment, and application of documentation standards and engineering conventional representations. Emphasis is placed on freehand sketching as a means of communication and on the accurate generation of three-dimensional computer models and documentation files.
