Attendance
The attendance policy for this course is covered in the USI Student Handbook. Be aware that excessive absenteeism may result in the lowering of the student's grade due to missed quizzes, lab experiences, or the failure to turn in required assignments on time.

Homework and Projects
Homework will be assigned, collected, and graded at the discretion of the instructor.

Tests and Quizzes
Quizzes will be given at the discretion of the instructor. Tests will be given during the times noted on the syllabus, unless field trips or unforeseen circumstances (weather, etc.) require a deviation from the scheduled times.

General Information
Quizzes cannot be made up. Missed tests can be made up immediately upon the student's return to the next class session, providing the student's reason for absence is acceptable to the instructor.

Tests 25% each (total 75%)
Lab Project(s) 25% total

Grading Scale
A = 100% - 90%
B = 90% - 80%
C = 80% - 70%
D = 70% - 60%
F = less than 60%

"The instructor retains the prerogative of changing or adjusting the course syllabus to best accommodate the pace of progression and the needs of the students. The syllabus may also be adjusted in order to permit scheduling of field trips to local businesses."
