Current Geology Major Requirements for 2011-2013 catalog.


The course catalog for each geology student is the catalog at the time that you declare as a major. You may update to a newer catalog during your academic progress. The information below is current for the 2007-2009 catalog.

The Geology program requires students obtain a letter grade of C or better in all Required Geology Courses. In the event of a poor or failing grade (D or F), you will not be allowed to progress to the next course in the major until a satisifactory grade (C or higher) has been earned.

35 hours of Required Geology course work
9 hours of Elective Geology course work
21 - 24 hours of required supporting science course work
52 hours of University Core Curriculum corse work
5 - 7 hours of open elective course work
Must complete 39 credit hours of 300-400 level course work
