The course surveys the geographical characteristics (man-made and natural) of the major regions of the world. The topic for each class meeting is given in the syllabus. Assigned homework will be collected each week. Late work may not be accepted. Homework on pages with torn edges will not be accepted. Along with each homework, attach an original news item (no copies accepted) of an event related to the region covered by the homework assignment. Good sources for such information would be a newspaper or newsmagazine clipping from that week or a printout from an internet source.

The weekly quiz will cover the previous week's lecture but will also include a highlight of the day's lecture.  Study ahead!!! The average of the ten best quizzes will count towards your quiz grade. There are no make-up quizzes.
