Scholarships and Aid
The Department of Kinesiology and Sport has a number of scholarships and awards for students who have demonstrated high levels of academic performance, either as a student in high school or as a Kinesiology and Sport programs major. The scholarships are awarded by faculty review of potential recipients in the late fall/early spring of each academic year. Where indicated, students may be required to submit an application form to be eligible to receive the award. The details of each award are listed below, along with links to the appropriate application forms, if required.

Morris & Margaret Smith Davis Scholarship
Criteria: Kinesiology and Sport Department. Major. 2.75+ GPA, working at least part time. Award to a sophomore or junior. To be used junior or senior year. Renewable for one additional year as long as recipient meets criteria. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
Outstanding Student Scholarship
Criteria: Most outstanding kinesiology and sport student. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
Robert & Jane Davis Brezette Scholarship
Criteria: One male and one female athlete who are physical education or exercise majors. Athletic Board to select. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Not renewable, but may be reawarded if recipient meets criteria. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
Sport Management Scholarship
Criteria: For a full time undergraduate student within the USI Kinesiology and Sport department Sport Management program during the semester in which the scholarship is awarded. Must have sophomore or junior status with 3.0/4.0 GPA. Must be a Sport Management major, minor or Kinesiology major with a specialization in Sport Management. Must be a member in good standing in the Sport Management Club. May not be awarded to a graduating senior.
