Scholarships and Aid
The Department of Kinesiology and Sport has a number of scholarships and awards for students who have demonstrated high levels of academic performance, either as a student in high school or as a Kinesiology and Sport programs major. The scholarships are awarded by faculty review of potential recipients in the late fall/early spring of each academic year. Where indicated, students may be required to submit an application form to be eligible to receive the award. The details of each award are listed below, along with links to the appropriate application forms, if required.

# of Awards
Criteria: Kinesiology and Sport department major with 2.75 GPA or higher, working at least part time. Application process required. Award to a sophomore or junior. To be used junior or senior year. Renewable for one additional year as long as recipient meets criteria. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the current academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
Outstanding Student Award
Criteria: The Kinesiology & Sport Department awards a certificate annually to one outstanding student from each major. These students are recognized at the Pott College of Science, Engineering, & Education Honors Convocation each spring semester.
Outstanding Student Scholarship
Criteria: Most outstanding kinesiology and sport student. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
Robert & Jane Davis Brezette Scholarship
Criteria: Athletic Board to select. One male and one female athlete who are physical education or exercise majors. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Not renewable, but may be reawarded if recipient meets criteria. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
Criteria: For a full time undergraduate student within the USI Kinesiology and Sport department Sport Management program during the semester in which the scholarship is awarded. Application process required (2014 Deadline: Friday, November 14). Must have sophomore or junior status with 3.0/4.0 GPA. Must be a Sport Management major, minor or Kinesiology major with a specialization in Sport Management. Must be a member in good standing in the Sport Management Club. May not be awarded to a graduating senior.
