The following students are required to take Math 100, Intermediate Algebra and Math 101, Intermediate Algebra Supplement:
Students who were placed into GENS 097 and were not successful (W or NP) on their first attempt must enroll in the expanded offering of Math 100 and Math 101 once they have successfully completed GENS 097;
Students who have not earned a grade of C or better in Math 100 after two attempts must enroll in the expanded offering of Math 100 and Math 101;
Students with marginal background in mathematics or who have attempted Math 100 once without success may self-select into this expanded offering of Math 100 and Math 101.
Sections of Math 100, Intermediate Algebra and Math 101, Intermediate Algebra Supplement are offered each semester and during the summer. The combination of courses is designed to help students be successful in developing algebra skills needed for success in higher-level mathematics courses.
To enroll, students must select a section of Math 100 and its corresponding section of Math 101. The courses are listed as co-requisites, thereby preventing enrollment in one without the other.
For additional information on Math 100 and Math 101, see the Schedule of Classes or contact the Department of Mathematics.
