Mathematics Patterns for Prospective Elementary Teachers
Students seeking a degree in elementary and middle school education complete the following mathematics courses sequentially.

| MATH 103 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I | 3 hours |
| MATH 203 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II | 3 hours |
| MATH 392 The Teaching of Elementary School Mathematics | 3 hours |
Elementary & Junior High/Middle School Mathematics Minor
Elementary Education majors seeking an elementary/junior high/middle school mathematics minor will complete the following courses for a minimum of 24 semester hours. Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor in the Department of Mathematics early in the degree program. Selected courses should provide a variety of concepts and experiences.
You must complete your student teaching by spring 2013 to follow the schedule below.

| MATH 236 Geometry for Middle School/Junior High Teachers | 3 hours |

| MATH 241 Principles of Statistics | 3 hours |
