Mathematics Major - Teacher Certification

Candidates for the baccalaureate degree in mathematics with teacher certification should consult the requirements for admission to teacher education for the professional semester. In addition, students desiring a mathematics major or minor for teacher certification must complete a mathematics major with MATH 323 selected as an upper-level elective.

MATH 230 Calculus I	4 hours
MATH 253 Principles of Mathematical Logic	3 hours
MATH 235 Calculus II	4 hours
MATH 291 Math for Secondary Tchrs	3 hours
MATH 335 Calculus III	4 hours
MATH 323 College Geometry	3 hours
MATH 413 Linear Algebra	3 hours
MATH 438 Theory of Probability	3 hours
MATH 492 History of Mathematics	3 hours
Math 391 Math Methods-Secondary	3 hours
MATH 412 Modern Abstract Algebra I	3 hours

Electives (9 semester hours)
Electives must include at least one of the following Math 410, Math 432, Math 433. The remaining elective courses are to be selected from upper-level course offerings in mathematics as directed by advisor.
