The Indiana Invaders are a field & track team, comprised of elite athletes, competing in USA Track & Field National Championship competitions in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field, and the marathon. In 2004, the Invaders placed five athletes in the top 10 at the U.S. Olympic Team Track & Field Trials.

Event Management

If you have a strong interest event management and would like to put your desire to work in a dynamic sport environment, then an internship with the Indiana Invaders may be for you. The internship experience may be designed to meet the academic and professional development goals of the intern. Internships are available year-round.

As with most Olympic Sport settings, the Indiana Invaders are able to offer internship opportunities but the internships are not paid internships.

Software

If you have a strong interest in software engineering and would like to put that desire to work in a sports environment, then an internship with the Indiana Invaders may be for you. The internship experience may be designed to meet the academic and professional development goals of the intern.

An Intern will have an opportunity to experience

• Designing web pages, developing new design ideas
• Participate in innovative projects
• Brainstorm about new website features and make recommendations
• Usability Testing
• Database design and development
• Statistics

Requirements for the position include

• Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, and Outlook experience

Desirable Skills

• ASP/VBScript
• XSL
• XML
• SQL Server

Desired Attributes

• Strong attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to translate a project into technical requirements
• Basic knowledge of track & field
• Ability to work independently
