Sport Management Club Plan
Mission Statement:
The University of Southern Indiana Sport Management
Club exists to provide students with a quality education through
experiential learning, networking, and professional development
opportunities while increasing knowledge about the sport management field.
Our purpose is to express leadership,
responsibility, and interaction with the student body, community, and local
businesses. We seek to provide
an enjoyable learning experience for all who are involved.
Goals and Objectives:
Strategic Goals #1 – To establish club name recognition throughout
campus

Recruit 25 new members
·
Attend Information Fair &
Orientations/Southern Hospitality days
Strategic Goal #2 – To provide students with professional development
opportunities
·
To attend the Indiana Association for
Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (IAHPERD) Sport Management
Conference.
·
To participate in four volunteer experiences
through the USI Athletic Department and with other community agencies.

To offer networking opportunities by
attending the IAHPERD conference, inviting two community leaders within the
sport industry to speak on sport management topics of interest for USI

To offer our volunteer services to help with
university department (i.e. Department of Kinesiology and Sport, Athletic
Department, Recreation, Fitness & Wellness) functions and/or events
Strategic Goal #4 – To offer social activities

To provide a Sport Management Club Program
plan consisting of four social activities (i.e. cookout, movie nights)
