Hi. My name is David Isaacs, and I’m a biophysics major at USI. I initially started out at USI as a biology major, but after my first physics class, I was hooked. It’s really awesome having teachers that are truly excited about what they’re teaching. I really look forward to class with Dr. Pickett’s experience and Dr. Robinson’s stories about swindling his grade-school classmates out of money using physics principles. All of the professors are great to talk to and work with.

Although I enjoy my schoolwork, I do manage to pull myself away from homework to play ultimate Frisbee and dodgeball on the USI tennis courts. Besides being a practical application of some of what I've learned in physics class, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as pegging a friend in the head with a rubber ball.

I really feel that everyone in the science departments truly cares about the students and their futures. They have been extremely helpful and cooperative, whether it's providing me opportunities for research, offering advice about medical and graduate schools or just having a friendly chat. I guess I’m just trying to say that I’m very happy with my education and am having a great time here at USI.
