Engineering and Manufacturing Creativity Camp

The Engineering and Manufacturing Creativity Camp (EMC2) at the University of Southern Indiana (USI) is a grant-funded day-camp opportunity made possible by the Alcoa Foundation, the University of Southern Indiana, and the Southwest Indiana STEM (SwISTEM) Resource Center that will give your high school student a chance to learn how the stuff they use every day is made through a series of exciting on-campus activities and field trips to local manufacturers. 

Topics included are:

  • CAD Design
  • Raspberry Pi (students will take one of these home)
  • Solid Modeling
  • 3-D Printing
  • Python
  • Robotics
  • Toyota Motor Manufacturing Site Visit
  • Alcoa Warrick Operations Site Visit

Everything they learn will be highlighted during presentations to their peers and parents at the end of the week during a ceremony celebrating their completion of the camp. This is an experience your child won't want to miss!

Date:  July 7-11, 2014
Time: 9am-4pm (more details released soon)
Location:  Business and Engineering Center & Applied Engineering Center, USI
For: Incoming 9-12th graders (must be entering these grades during the 2014-15 academic year)
Registration Fee: $50 (due upon program acceptance)*
