Secondary Education

Teachers at the secondary level may choose to complete a customized program with a combination of education and content area courses at the graduate level.  In all cases, the student must complete the action research sequence (EDUC 601, 631, 671) in addition to 24 hours of directed electives, for a total of 33 hours of graduate work.  For example, English teachers may combine four approved 500 and 600 level English courses with four education courses (advanced instruction, curriculum theory, human development, and social foundations electives) plus the action research sequence.  Social science teachers may choose four appropriate LBST courses, etc.
