Dance Marathon

What is Dance Marathon?
Dance Marathon is a charity event supporting the Children’s Miracle Network of children’s hospitals. The “dancers” stay on their feet to show support for the families and the children of the event’s charity and to generate awareness about the cause.

Riley This fundraising event for Riley Children Hospital is the first year for the University of Southern Indiana. The event is an six hour event full of fun games, dancing, free food, and most importantly interacting with Riley Children from the surrounding community. The Dance Marathon Committee is asking for your participation as a Dancer in this first year event on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010, at the Recreational and Fitness Center (RFW) from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

What exactly is the definition of a Dancer?
To be a Dancer one must be a student at the University of Southern Indiana and are required to pay the entry fee ($20) and fundraise additional money (at least $100).

Fundraising money will be handled through a website. More information will be available during registration.

Fundraising got you stressed? Don't worry!
Raising $100 is not too challenging--all you need to do is find five lovely individuals who will donate $20.00 each, or ten people at $10 each.

This is a great cause, I want to do MORE than just dance!
We are looking for devoted, hard working, determined, optimistic, and motivated individuals to volunteer. We need help during various fundraisers, and other committee activities. Most importantly the Dance Marathon Committee needs your participation in our meetings (this will be advertised through Facebook, by word of mouth, the campus television, and the UC). Look for us at the Involvement Fair for further information!
