The Service Learning Program has joined the Center for Applied Research in recognizing faculty, staff, students, and our community partners for their community engagement. In Fall, 2009, the Service Learning Program held its first recognition event for faculty and staff who offered service learning courses for academic credit or co-curricular service learning projects during the 2008-2009 academic year that gave students the opportunity for engagement outside of the classroom, but still incorporated learning outcomes and opportunities for reflection.
