Bachelor of Social Work

Application Deadlines

All students who meet the minimum academic requirements and have an interest in the field of social work are invited to apply.  No student will be denied admission on the basis of race, gender, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin. 

Students who would like to be notified prior to pre-registration should submit materials according to the following schedule:

February 1, 2007          1st BSW Application Deadline

May 16, 2007               2nd BSW Application Deadline

The application, personal statement, three letters of reference and transcripts from all schools attended must be submitted as a packet. Students completing a packet by the deadline will receive notification before pre-registration.

Students may declare social work as a pre-major upon enrollment at the University of Southern Indiana.  However all students must submit an application to the BSW Program and be accepted in order to enroll in courses designated “Majors Only”.  Students who seek to major in social work should contact an advisor in the Social Work Department at (812) 464-1843.
