Academic Programs

The BSW Program prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and values for generalist practice with diverse populations and emerging social issues.
The BSW Program is designed for students who desire a professional degree in preparation for entry into social work positions within local, state, and federal social service agencies and programs. The program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

The Minor in Social Work combines theory with application to prepare students for a career working with individuals, groups or communities, and positions that deal with social service systems.

The MSW program prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and values for advanced clinical social work practice with diverse populations and emerging social issues.
The School Social Work Specialization requires additional coursework to prepare clinical practitioners to work in school settings.
School Social Work Specialization - The School Social Work Specialization will require completion of seven courses and completion of the MSW. Two of the courses will be taken in the Department of Education, and five of the courses will be taken in the Department of Social Work.
