The University of Southern Indiana recognizes its obligation as a public institution to provide services and facilities to community, regional and other non-university groups or individuals. Within a specified timeframe, groups or individuals not affiliated with the University are welcome to reserve indoor or outdoor campus facilities not previously reserved by a group within the University community.
The University Center has been designed to support the programs, events, meetings and conferences of students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests of the University. As a focal point for University events, the University Center’s central purpose and primary goal is to serve the needs of the students; however, all members of the University community and non-University groups and individuals have the opportunity to use the facilities.
The University has established policies and procedures for utilization of its resources, facilities, and services:
Because there is considerable demand for event space in University facilities, please notify Scheduling Services (812/465-7080) or your meeting planner as soon as an event has been cancelled so that the space may be returned to facility management inventory and made available to be reserved by another group. Groups that reserve space but fail to cancel the reservation are considered “no shows” and are subject to cancellation charges. Summer camps and conferences will be subject to cancellation charges pursuant to their executed agreement with the University.
