Magazine and the American Baseball Coaches Association.
TRANSFER: Becomes a Screaming Eagle after two seasons as a Saluki at
Southern Illinois University Carbondale...produced a career batting average
of .258 with 19 RBIs, 23 runs scored, and seven doubles in 51 games, while
recording a 5-2 mark on the mound with a 4.29 ERA in 71.2 innings of
work...was 3-0 with a 3.69 ERA in 17 games and 39 innings of work in 2008,
while batting .250 with nine runs scored and five RBIs in 21 games. He also
had two multi-hit games and a five-game hitting streak.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time All-Conference honoree and a three-time league Most Valuable Player in baseball at Carmi-White County High School (Carmi, Illinois)...hit .411 or better each of his four seasons at CWHS with 19 career home runs...named All-State as a senior and was 42nd-best prospect in the state by the Illinois Prep Baseball Magazine.
