HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football and baseball at South Vigo High School (Terre Haute, Indiana)...hit .345 as a senior with eight doubles, four home runs, and 23 RBIs...was 4-3 with a 4.33 ERA and 38 strike outs in 42 innings of work on the mound...helped SVHS to the Big Four championship in 2003 and 2004 and to the Metropolitan Conference championship in 2003.
