2009: Listed as a "Player to Watch" by Collegiate Baseball Magazine and the American Baseball Coaches Association.
2008: Set a USI single-season record with 30 appearances as a sophomore, 29 in relief...finished the year second on the team with a 7-3 record and with a team-best 2.75 ERA...was fifth on the team with 38 strikeouts in 55.2 innings of work...struck out a career-best six batters in a relief appearance against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
2007: Joined the team at mid-season and became one of the most reliable hurlers out of the bullpen...finished his first year with a 3-1 record and a 2.20 ERA in 14 appearances and 41.0 innings of work...also had 21 strikeouts with a season-best five coming in his only start against Kentucky Wesleyan College...picked up his first collegiate victory out of the bullpen, pitching 3.1 innings against the University of Missouri-Rolla...recorded his first collegiate save in the win at Lewis University...lost his only collegiate start of 2007 versus KWC, going eight innings and allowing two runs.
AT USI: Attended USI in 2005-06, but did not play baseball.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned letters in baseball, basketball, and football at
Central Noble High School (Albion, Indiana)...named Most Valuable Player as
a senior after recording 100 strikeouts in 54 innings of work...also batted
.410 with three home runs as a senior...received the CNHS Best Pitcher Award
as a junior after recording 72 strikeouts in 42 innings of work...also hit
.370 as a junior...was named All-Area and All-Conference as a junior and
senior...posted 18 strikeouts in a no-hitter against Westview High School.
