HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in baseball, football, and wrestling during his prep career at Aledo High School (Aledo, Illinois)...was a three-time All-Conference, three-time Most Valuable Player, and two-time All-Area performer at AHS...batted .450 as a junior and .500 as a senior...helped lead the baseball team to the regional championship in 2003.
