HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in baseball at Memorial High School (Evansville, Indiana)...had his best season as a junior when he hit .319 with 45 runs scored and 22 RBIs...member of the Memorial teams that were regional champions in 2004 and 2005 and the state finalist in 2005.
SUMMER BASEBALL: Batted .325 with four doubles and nine RBIs for the Kokomo Prospects of the Midwest Prospect Baseball League in 2007...hit .410 with 12 stolen bases for Funkhouser Legion Baseball in 2006.
PERSONAL: Born October 17, 1987...son of Harold and Lee Griggs.
