MAJOR: Physical Education

2007: Played in 51 games and made 48 starts despite being slowed by a knee injury midway through the season...batted .291overall with 34 runs scored, 32 RBIs, seven doubles, two home runs, and five stolen bases...hit a solo home run in USI's win over Angelo State University in the NCAA Division II Championship series...recorded a season-best four hits against Drury University...had 14 multi-hit games during his first season...drove in a season-high three RBIs against Henderson State University.

TRANSFER: Transferred to USI from John A. Logan College (Carterville, Illinois)...hit .336 with 26 RBIs, two home runs, four doubles, and one triple in 42 games for the Vols, who were 33-15 in 2006.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Castle High School (Newburgh, Indiana)...lettered in baseball, football, and wrestling for the Knights...was a .404 career hitter with 52 RBIs, 13 doubles, a triple, and eight home runs.

PERSONAL: Born August 10, 1985...son of Scott and Karen Pleiss.
