MAJOR: Education

2007: Named Academic All-GLVC...made seven appearances out of the bullpen during his first year with the Eagles...was 0-1 with one save...earned a save in the win over Lewis University...had a 5.87 ERA in 7.2 innings of work.

TRANSFER: Transferred to USI after spending two seasons at Parkland Community College...was a NJCAA Academic All-American and a member of the Cobra's 2005 NJCAA national runner-up team...also was the PCC Student Athlete of the Year in 2006 after posting a 3-1 record with a save and a 2.46 ERA.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in baseball and football at Reitz Memorial High School (Evansville, Indiana).

SUMMER BASEBALL: Plays for the Evansville Outlaws during the summer.

PERSONAL: Born August 30, 1985...son of Tim and Kathy Schmitt.
