USI baseball/softball nipped by weather
The University of Southern Indiana baseball and softball teams were forced to postpone their respective games this afternoon due to unplayable weather conditions. The USI baseball team was scheduled to make up a game at Kentucky Wesleyan College, postponed yesterday due to rain, while the Screaming Eagles’ softball team was slated for its home opener against Brescia University.
USI baseball has rescheduled its game with KWC to Monday, April 1 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Game time is 3 p.m. This is the 10th time this season that a USI baseball game has been postponed due to weather conditions.
It is to be determined whether or not the USI softball game against Brescia will be made up.
The Eagle baseball team will host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in a single game tomorrow (1 p.m.) and in a doubleheader Saturday, March 23, at noon. The three-game series was moved to Evansville due to unplayable conditions in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
USI softball will host Bellarmine University Saturday, March 23, and Kentucky Wesleyan, Sunday, March 24. Both games are doubleheaders and are scheduled for 1 p.m. starts at the USI Softball Field.
