USI cancels Thursday and weekend games
The University of Southern Indiana baseball team has been on Mother Nature’s bad side in the opening weeks of the 2003 season. The Screaming Eagles have been only able to play once out of the first nine scheduled games.
USI is canceling its next four home games due to poor field conditions and the forecast of more inclement weather. Canceled are the Thursday, February 27, single game with Indiana University Southeast and the Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3, three-game series with Tiffin University. The USI-IUS game will be rescheduled.
The next chance for the Screaming Eagles to play will be Thursday, March 6, at Brescia University. Game time is 3 p.m. Following the Brescia game, the Eagles will begin their spring break road trip that will feature seven games in seven days in Georgia and South Carolina between March 8-14.
