He had 10 hits in 23 at-bats, including a 4-of-5 effort in an 8-4 extra-inning triumph at Lewis University on Saturday. In that contest, Keener connected on a homerun, scored three runs, and had three RBIs.
He also was 2-of-4 against the University of Evansville and was 2-of-3 with a homer in USI’s first game against Lewis on Saturday.
Keener is a business/marketing major from Castle High School. USI will be at home Wednesday, March 24, to take on the University of Missouri-St. Louis in a noon doubleheader at the USI Baseball Field.
