USI takes two from West Georgia

EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana baseball team took two from the State University of West Georgia, 8-3 and 3-2, Saturday afternoon in Carrolton, Georgia. USI goes to 3-1 overall, while West Georgia goes to 13-7.
USI junior right-hander Mike Watson picked up the game one complete game victory to go to 1-0, while sophomore right-hander Adam Summers earned the win in the nightcap to start the year 1-0. Sophomore righthander Aaron Clark finished the second game for his first save of the year.
Screaming Eagles' senior rightfielder Matt Keener had the hot bat in the doubleheader with four hits, including a two-run home in the opener.
The Eagles and the Braves finish the three-game series Sunday afternoon with a single game at 1 p.m. (CT)
