At the plate in game two, USI scored all of the runs it would need in the first inning. Sophomore leftfielder Hunter Slade (Newburgh, Indiana) capped off the four-run first with a three-run triple to rightfield.

USI would respond to SIUE tallies in the third and the fifth with runs in the bottom of the third and the sixth for the 6-2 final.

The Eagles resume GLVC action at home Wednesday when they host the University of Missouri-St. Louis at the USI Baseball Field. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.
