USI baseball opens home schedule Wednesday
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana baseball team hopes the third try to open its 2006 campaign will be the charm when it hosts Oakland City University for a single game at 1 p.m. The Screaming Eagles were rained out of their three-game series with the University of West Georgia last weekend.
Wednesday's single game will be the first of four home-and-home games between USI and Oakland City over the next two weeks. Following Wednesday's game, the series will shift to Oakland City on Thursday for a 1 p.m. single game.
Last season, the Eagles won all four games with the Mighty Oaks. USI also leads the all-time series, 70-8.
