USI Baseball World Series 2006
Game 1: Red team scores five in seventh for win
The Red team rallied from two runs down and score five times in the top of the seventh to defeat the Blue team, 5-2, in game one of USI World Series. Hunter Slade's two-out, two-run single gave the Red team the lead for good.
Aaron Schmitt was the winning pitcher for the Red team, while Brook Meier picked up the save by pitching a scoreless seventh inning.
Game 2: Red team makes it two-in-a-row
The Red team made it two-in-a-row by shutting out the Blue team, 3-0, in the second game of the USI World Series. Hunter Slade led the offensive attack with a hit and a RBI, while Michael Beaven had a hit and a run scored.
Aaron Clark got the win for the Red team going 5 2/3 innings, allowing no runs and just three hits. He also struck out three batters.
Game 3: Red team stays perfect in series
The Red team stayed perfect in the USI World Series with a 2-0 victory in a pitchers dual. The Red team needs one more wins to complete the series sweep.
Jeremy Kehrt and Danny Dollison combined for a two hitter to blank the Blue team. Kehrt went the first 3 2/3 innings and allowed two hits and no runs, while Dollison picked up the victory and by finingh the final 3 1/3 innings.
Kehrt also struck out six batters, while Dollison struck out three.
Cory Julian took the loss for the Blue team, allowing one run in 5 2/3 innings. Julian struck out three Red batters.
