USI road trip postponed one day
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana baseball team's fight with Mother Nature continues. The Screaming Eagles' first road trip of the season, to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, has been postponed one day due to the forecast of torrential rains on Saturday. Forecasts are calling for 90 percent chance of strong thunderstorms in the Arkadelphia area.
The four-game series will be played Sunday and Monday with the first pitch remaining at noon each day.
The Eagles return to the friendly surroundings of the USI Baseball Field next week when Oakland City University returns February 28 for a 1 p.m. single game. USI started the 2007 campaign Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of OCU.
