USI baseball on the road Tuesday
EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana baseball team will be on the road Tuesday against the University of Missouri-St. Louis for a GLVC doubleheader due to a trade of home dates. Last week's USI-UMSL doubleheader was moved to the USI Baseball Field because of heavy rains in the St. Louis area.
Tuesday's USI-UMSL doubleheader is scheduled to be played at Gordon Moore Park in Alton, Illinois. The first pitch is 3 p.m.
In addition to the road games with UMSL, the Screaming Eagles are scheduled to finish and make-up games at Kentucky Wesleyan College Wednesday at noon. The Eagles and the Panthers will finish the suspended game from March 14 (USI is leading 5-2 in the top of the eighth), prior to playing a postponed contest from March 20.
USI starts this week leading the GLVC by a half-game over Bellarmine University. The Eagles start the final five-game homestand of 2007 by hosting the Knights for a doubleheader on April 25 and the University of Indianapolis for a three-game series April 27-29.
