USI falls to fourth in regional poll
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana baseball team fell from second to fourth in the second NCAA Division II North Central Regional poll of the year. The Screaming Eagles fell after a 3-3 week against the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Kentucky Wesleyan College, and Rockhurst University.
The top six teams in each region qualify for the NCAA Division II Tournament that is scheduled for May17-20.
USI (33-15, 21-11GLVC), which received votes for the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper top 30 poll, remains in the GLVC's top spot after splitting a doubleheader against Bellarmine University on Wednesday.
