USI remains fourth in regional poll
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana baseball team remained fourth in the third NCAA Division II North Central Regional poll of the year. The Screaming Eagles were 3-2 last week against Bellarmine University and the University of Indianapolis.
The top six teams in each region qualify for the NCAA Division II Tournament that is scheduled for May17-20.
USI (35-16, 23-13 GLVC), which received votes for the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper top 30 poll, concludes the regular season this weekend when it plays at Drury University (25-21, 20-13 GLVC) in Springfield, Missouri. The first pitch for Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game is noon.
