USI baseball moves to sixth in national poll
Eagles open season at #17 Armstrong Atlantic State Saturday
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana baseball team rose to sixth in the Collegiate Baseball Magazine NCAA Division II Top 30 poll released on February 4. The poll is the first regular season ranking of 2008.
USI, which was ranked 10th in the preseason poll, opens the 2008 campaign Saturday at 17th-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University. The Pirates have already started the season with a three-game sweep of Florida Southern College at home last weekend.
