USI baseball tournament changed to three-game series
Eagles to host Missouri Western State
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Holiday Inn Express/University of Southern Indiana Invitational baseball tournament has been moved for a second time in 48 hours and has been changed to a three-game series between the Screaming Eagles and Missouri Western State University. The two teams are now scheduled to play a doubleheader Monday and single game on Tuesday.
The first pitch on Monday is scheduled for noon, while start time on Tuesday is still to be determined.
The three games with MWSU are now the beginning of a 10-game homestand for the Eagles that includes Oakland City University (Feb. 27), seventh-ranked Grand Valley State University (March 1-2) and Wayne State University (March 8-9). The USI-GVSU series will be a re-match of last year's regional championship game.
The tournament games with Winona State University will not be rescheduled.
