USI has three named All-Region by coaches
Huebner and Larsen named first team All-Region

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana baseball team had three players named All-North Central Region by Rawlings and the American Baseball Coaches Association in a release today. USI junior infielder
Josh Huebner (Evansville, Indiana) and right-handed reliever
Shaun Larsen (Tell City, Indiana) were named to the first team, while senior right-handed starter
Jeremy Kehrt (Plainfield, Indiana) was named to the second team.
Huebner, who also was named second team All-Region by Daktronics and NCAA Division II sports information directors, finished the year as USI's top hitter with a .396 batting average, 47 runs scored, 84 hits, and 32 stolen bases. The first team All-GLVC utility player also tied for second on the squad with 12 doubles and three triples, while tying for fourth with 31 RBIs.

A first team All-GLVC and Daktronics second team All-Region player, Larsen had a record-breaking first season with the Eagles. He set the USI single-season and career records for saves with 17, 10 coming in conference competition. The junior right-hander, who was a first team All-GLVC relief pitcher, also finished the year 4-1 with a 3.57 ERA.
Kehrt, who also was a first team All-GLVC and Daktronics All-Region selection, led the Screaming Eagles with an 8-3 record and a 6-1 mark in the GLVC. His eight victories tied a USI single-season record for wins. The senior also was second on the team with 64 strikeouts.

The Screaming Eagles finished the season with a 36-20 overall record and the GLVC West Division championship with a 24-7 mark. The GLVC regular season title was USI's first since the 1993 season.
The 36 victories are tied for third all-time at USI for wins in a regular season. The Eagles had a team-best 38 regular season wins during 1992 and 1993, while reaching 36 victories during last year's regular schedule.
