The Eagles (2-4) open the 2009 home schedule Wednesday at the USI Baseball Field when they host Kentucky Wesleyan College (0-8) for a non-conference doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.
USI leads the all-time series with KWC, 80-57, after splitting four games with Panthers last season. The Eagles won both games at home, while the Panthers took the two in Owensboro, Kentucky.
The first homestand of the year concludes Friday when USI hosts Spalding University (1-5) for a nine-inning game. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Friday's game will be the first meeting between USI and Spalding.
