Open tryouts set for June 16
EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The University of Southern Indiana baseball team will conduct open tryouts June 16, for players who have completed high school eligibility play for a junior college or wishing to transfer. The tryout will be held at the USI Baseball Field at 11 a.m.
In order to participate in the tryout, potential student athletes must have proof of a athletic activity physical (no exceptions) within the last year. A copy of the 2008 high school physical is acceptable. Transfers from a four-year institution must have a release before trying out.

Directions to USI: USI is located 4 miles west of Evansville.
From the East: Take the Lloyd Expressway (Hwy 62) west through Evansville. When you leave the city limits, look for the university on the left. At that point, you will take the University Parkway exit to the top of the ramp and turn left. You will be on University Blvd. Turn left onto Bennett Lane which is the first left after the big parking lot on the left. Follow that road past the tennis courts and up the hill where you will see the field.
From the West: From Highway 62 you will see the University Parkway exit on your right. Take the exit and turn right onto the campus. You will be on University Blvd. Turn left onto Bennett Lane which is the first left after the big parking lot on the left. Follow that road past the tennis courts and up the hill where you will see the field.
From the North or South: You will probably come into Evansville on Hwy 41. Take the Lloyd Expressway (Hwy 62) west through Evansville.
