USI baseball to open the season on Saturday
The University of Southern Indiana baseball team will open the 2002 regular season Saturday, February 16, at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee. The Screaming Eagles will play a three-game series with Carson-Newman, a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. and a single game on Sunday, February 17, at noon.
Click below for the season outlook. The Eagles will be practicing at 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The team is off on Tuesday and is departing for Carson-Newman on Friday.
The Eagles will begin an eight-game homestand next week by hosting Oakland City University Wednesday, February 20. During the homestand, USI will host six games with Eastern Illinois University Friday, February 22, and Tuesday, February 26 and Truman State University Saturday and Sunday, February 23-24. The homestand will conclude with USI hosting Brescia University on Wednesday, February 27.
