Tyson Schnitker, Assistant Coach
Tyson Schnitker begins his first season as an assistant
coach at USI.
Schnitker is making the transition from USI player to coach in 2008-09. He
was fourth on the team in scoring with 10.1 points per game and led the
squad with 3.3 assists per contest in his only season with the Eagles in
2007-08. The native of Robinson, Illinois, had a career-best 30 points
against Drury University and six assists in four different games.
Prior to playing last year at USI, Schnitker spent three seasons at Indiana
State University. He averaged 7.6 points and 2.1 assists per game in 79
appearances as a Sycamore.
Schnitker joins the USI coaching staff with one year of experience. He was a
part-time assistant coach at Lincoln Trail College in 2006-07 before
transferring to USI last year.
Schnitker earned a master's degree in Business Administration from USI this
summer and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Indiana State
in 2007.
